Meet our newest team member! It’s the DJI Inspire 2, which is arguably the best drone with integrated camera system currently on market. Also, we believe the clampdown on commercial drone flying has been a good development. That’s why we as a company have obtained our license for commercial flying. We will provide you with supreme quality footage for your brand, fully compliant with law.

Meet our newest team member! It’s the DJI Inspire 2, which is arguably the best drone with integrated camera system currently on market. Also, we believe the clampdown on commercial drone flying has been a good development. That’s why we as a company have obtained our license for commercial flying. A big step up

After flying and shooting with its predecessor (surprisingly called the Inspire 1) for multiple years we decided it was time for a big step up. Drone technology has been developing at such a rapid pace that waiting any longer wasn’t an option for us. Especially because we are always looking for shooting in the highest possible quality, also from up above.

After shooting multiple projects already, we couldn’t be more happy with our choice, as the DJI Inspire 2 together with the great Zenmuse X7 camera has turned out to be a HUGE upgrade in both ‘flyability’ and image quality.

Two men job

A professional drone shoot, in our vision, should always be done with a two men crew; a certified pilot and a dedicated camera operator. The most important reason is simple: safety. The pilot should at all times be fully focussed on flying the drone to make sure no objects get hit. The last thing you would want is that it comes crashing down, potentially harming someone. The second reason is the quality of the shots. You will be amazed what a well trained duo with good communication will add to the quality of your aerial footage. Being able to manoeuvre the drone and doing things like panning and tilting simultaneously makes the process much more dynamic.

Flying the DJI Inspire 2

“What comes to mind first when flying this drone is that it is a lot more robust, with stronger engines compared to our previous one.” according to Jos, who has been a certified drone pilot for over a year now. “Gusts of wind have less of an effect which means it has much more stability. This not only benefits the shots itself, but also gives you more confidence as a pilot to fly closer around objects. Spinning around a mountain top or a tower is much easier now and can give quite a stunning viewer experience.”

Operating the Zenmuse X7 camera

The Zenmuse X7 camera is fully compatible with the DJI Inspire 2, and combined with an integrated gimbal it is the perfect tool for high-end filmmaking. Jeffrey, who operates the camera during our drone shoots is over the moon: “Compared to our old drone, and to virtually all other drones with an integrated camera system, the shots look so much more cinematic. This is due to the much bigger sensor which creates a very nice shallow depth of field. Also the possibility to mount different lenses on the X7 gives us a wider range of options to nail every shot.”

The rugged west coast of Ireland

When we recently traveled to Ireland for a project we decided to go early and take some time out to capture some of the beautiful Irish west coast. Besides an unexpected ‘no drone zone’  (see picture) we were able to produce quite a nice video out of it. Watch the video below and enjoy some of nature’s wonders!

Does your brand need drone footage that looks stupendous?

Besides using our drone in our ‘from concept to final product’ projects, we also offer it as a separate service. If you have any questions about this be sure to shoot us a message or simply ‘hit the ‘call me back button. Let’s talk video!
